Why Native Plants?
Native plants are the unsung heroes of our landscapes – though they are starting to get the recognition they deserve! They’ve been growing in our region for thousands of years, which means local pollinators, birds, and other wildlife know and depend on them for food and shelter. Because they’re adapted to our climate and soils, native plants often need less water, fertilizer, and fuss than many non-native plants. By adding more natives to our landscapes, we can create beautiful gardens that are buzzing with life while helping support a healthier local ecosystem.
